Not only France, may be Germany too.
The rail drivers union will announce today, how to continue the strike. They might announce an unlimited strike in all three areas (local passengers, long distance passengers and freight), but more likely it will be a kind of escalating schedule.
There is a growing pressure from the membership to start an unlimited strike, this is reflected by local union leaders who are demanding unlimited strike action. In the wider public the demands of the train drivers are still widely supported.
If the strike will be continuing for more than three days, there will be effects mostly in steel and car production. Additionally the ports will be affected, because freight containers will be stucked there.
