Hello Eyup,

According to the TUIK (Turkish Statistical Institute), the labor
productivity in units per hour has been increased 30.2 % between 2002 and
2006. However, the increase in real wages in the same period is only 3.4%,
which verifies the logic behind the growth through debit and credits.
Being a debtor boosts the pressure to increase the profit rates that might
cover the interest expenses. The easiest way to achieve this is to attack
the labor expenses.

I am knowingly trying to stay away from voicing particular situations in
Turkey, which probably will not aid us to comprehend the big picture, the
mechanism of imperialism in general.

Tonight, one of my friends asked me my projection about when the upcoming
financial crisis will occur in Turkey? I said that, I don't care about
projections, anything could pull the trigger. It is unavoidable in this
situation. But vital thing is which path should we choose after the
doomsday? Obviously IMF will propose the same policies that enable us to
walk on the same tightrope that we have already fallen from.

The real solution is to rip off that rope and close down the whole casino.
Examining the model of Venezuela might be helpful.

I have spent last week by studying on Turkish economy, I am trying to get
out of great many of statistical data. I will write on this soon.
