That surgery costs about $2000 per eye, and insurance companies will
gernerally look at the one time cost, because the less they pay out at once,
the more time they have to collect from everyone else. It's not right, but
it's how they make money. Glasses are about 10-15% of the single eye
charge, and I don't know, but I don't think many people have to replace
their glasses enough to equal $4000 dollars.
