Research Posters on the Hill 2014 - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Utah State Capitol Rotunda
Thursday, January 30, 2014, 8am to 1:30pm

The past twelve years the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Office of Government Relations and Undergraduate Research Associate Director, Jill Baeder has solicited students to exhibit their work via posters to Utah State legislators. This event is to demonstrate the importance of undergraduate research and creative work at the two Research One universities in this state; the University of Utah and Utah State University.

The Office of Undergraduate Research supports students with a common design for their posters. This includes layout, proofing, printing, mounting and transporting of posters to the Utah State Capitol Rotunda. Students will be assisted in poster production as necessary and support those that desire to assemble the poster independently with faculty. Final proofing and support will be required and available to all accepted students. Supplies and breakfast at the event are provided by the Office of Undergraduate Research. Students must arrange their own transportation and be able to commit to all of the hours specified.
Posters and abstracts from RPOH are published in the spring, University of Utah Undergraduate Research Abstracts Journal. Acceptance to this event satisfies both the publication and presentation criteria for the Undergraduate Research Scholar Designation (URSD).
