Would you please forward this message to the FCS faculty?
As the new Academic Year approaches and you prepare for your classes. Please be sure to check on the status of your streaming video. Many titles expire in a year or semester and the library will need some time to research the rights for the video and make sure the title can still be made available streamed.
The deadline for making all streaming requests for Fall Semester 2014 is August 1, 2014. Requests after this date will be done first come, first served and cannot be guaranteed to be available by the time classes start.
Below are instructions on how to access your list of streamed video and the expiration date. If the title is about to expire, please fill in the Suggest a Purchase<http://www.lib.utah.edu/services/suggest-a-purchase.php> form to renew your streaming request. If you have any doubt about expiration dates, fill the Suggest a Purchase<http://www.lib.utah.edu/services/suggest-a-purchase.php> form out. We can verify and notify you if the title is still available streamed.
Go to the Suggest a Purchase<http://www.lib.utah.edu/services/suggest-a-purchase.php> form
In the center of the page find the statement “Check the Status of Your Media Requests” and click on that
You will be asked to login with your UNID and password – login.
(NOTE: the list is linked to the UNID that made the request, therefore no one else can get this list except the one who requested the titles.)
You will be presented with a list of titles, the status of those titles and the expiration date.
For EACH title that is expiring, please go back to the Suggest a Purchase<http://www.lib.utah.edu/services/suggest-a-purchase.php> form and fill in a new request.
