As many of you know, there have been some strange problems with the
printers lately--getting many more copies than requested, getting blank
pages to match the number of copies requested and received, etc. When a
problem with one of the printers occurs, it is recommended that a help
request be sent to support.csbs.utah.edu (click on Help Desk) from the
computer that made the request to the printer and it needs to sent at
the time the problem occurs, not several hours later or the next day.
The techs have a better chance of understanding what is happening with
the printer if they are informed right away of the problem.

If a printer starts putting out more copies than requested, immediately
turn it off for 30 seconds or so and then back on. Then call the Help
Desk at 5-8985 so they can immediately check the Que.

Keep handy the following information for the Help Desk:
Phone: 5-8985
Website: support.csbs.utah.edu
These are both on your Department Directory.
