Getting there: Please take public transportation, walk, bicycle, or carpool if at all possible. Parking is extremely limited at this time of day. Visitor parking is available in the Campus Store/Library lot (enter from South Campus Drive).

Join author and food activist Jill Richardson in exploring the complex barriers, and political and environmental problems with our current food system. We'll discuss holistic solutions and hands-on steps we can all take to forge a more just, healthy, and empowering civic agriculture. She is a blogger at La Vida Locavore<http://www.lavidalocavore.org/> and author of "Recipe for America: Why Our Food System is Broken and What We Can Do to Fix It."

The Social Soup Lecture Series is a monthly reflection on the social, economic, and environmental issues surrounding food. The Social Soup is sponsored by the University of Utah's College of Social Work, Office of Sustainability, Department of City and Metropolitan Planning, and Environmental Studies Program, as well as Crossroads Urban Center, the Sustainable Campus Initiative Fund, Chartwells, and Utahns Against Hunger.
