You need a bit more intellectual courage. Marxism is social, even a secular
return to the religious ethic of sacrifice and suffering, but,most definitely
not humanistic. Thats candy for children. Marxism is a rejection of the
Enlightenment's rational individualism for a return to society as the context
of one's life and values. Its possible to remove the Enlightenment gloss over
Marx and still have Marxism.
