Working Class Lives/ Working Class Studies: Call for papers

An interdisciplinary exploration of working-class life and culture in
America by both academic and nonacademic workers, to be held June 9-11,
1995, at Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio.  The Conference
will examine personal experiences and social and political strategies of
the American working class from the past to the present.  It will also
discuss the practical direction working-class life may take in the future.
The conference organizers seek academic and nonacademic papers, artwork,
fiction, poetry, and other representation of American working-class life
and culture for both formal and informal presentation, discussion, and/or
performance. Presenters should send abstracts 250-500 words describing
their projects and some suggestion for the format in which it might be
best presented.  Proposals for panel sessions are also welcome. Address
