I agree that Lavoie's book provides an excellent statement of the neo-
Austrian case, and is well worth reading.  But I disagree profoundly
with its conclusions.  For an alternative take on the debate, see
"Calculation, Complexity and Planning: The Socialist Calculation
Debate Once Again", by Paul Cockshott and myself, in Review of
Political Economy, 1993.
