Fred Moseley - hi Fred! - brought up the issue of productive vs.
unproductive capital/labor in his virgin post. I've seen two definitions
of productive, following both Smith and Marx - one, productive K/L is that
which produces a vendible product, and two, it's that which produces a
profit for a capitalist. OK, connoisseurs, which is it?
