As with Guy Debord - the question remains: Is Ray's death suicide or
murder by society? How many perennially subscribe to the belief that the
"avant-garde" (an acronymn for originality) is dead? Hegel's worn out
pretension (which is continually perpetrated by those who consistently try
to murder originality) was bogus when it was formulated. The integrity of
Ray Johnson's originality is immpeccable and he is missed. When I spoke
to him last in October '94, all he would say to every statement I made
and every question I posed was: "I don't know."
