I think the characterization of what _is_ fascist is right on the
money, but I think Louis is mistaken, frankly, in not (explicitly?)
recognizing that, while the individuals and organizations mentioned above
are not all _de facto_ fascists (some are not in _any_ sense, IMO, and
probably Louis'), most are what _I_ would characterize as _proto_-fascist;
they `grow' as individuals, due to their times, and _become_ (or would
have) fascist with the `right' turn of events. I consider this a
dialectical view of their personalities and organizations...
I would characterize Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan as
proto-fascists, FI. I would disagree with Louis and label Ollie an
out-and-out fascist working inside the rot of bourgeois democracy as a
worm does in an apple... George Bush more as one of those capitalist
middle-men behind the scenes, directing El Lider Maximo...
Louis Farrakhan and George Wallace I would lump in more with
Reagan, et al., but I frankly don't know enough about either to be so sure
-- though Wallace _did_ get religion after the crippling, didn't he?
