Doug, could you substantiate the charge that the NOI is petty-bourgeois 
in composition? How do you define "deeply"? Over 75%? Does this mean that 
the people hawking the NOI newspapers in the subway stations are lawyers 
and shopkeepers? What is the opposite of petty-bourgeois ideology? The 
ideology of the AFL-CIO leadership that you have been bashing recently? 
What is "proletarian" ideology? Is this like "socialist" consciousness?
