I'm curious if Chris Burford and others see the Kronstadt rebellion
as a decisive matter.  Does your support of or opposition to Leninism
depend on what actually happened during the rebellion? For contrast,
consider that if you were to claim that your position on the American
Revolution depended on the Whiskey Rebellion, or that your position on the
French Revolution depended on the Vendee Revolts, some explanation would be
required.  Whereas with the Russian Revolution, there's such a
presumption of guilt in so many minds, that any error on Lenin's part
suffices for them to condemn the whole revolutionary movement.
