I remember the Gary Gilmore case.

So the last two Democratic presidents have celebrated inauguration with
executions?  Didn't Clinton mark his inauguration with the execution of a
mentally-retarded young black man whose conviction was rather dubious?

Kinda like the last days of the Roman Empire.
