Pedestrian--and worse--Comparisons

For these and other reasons, these discussions about planning versus markets
and paths/stages of development of capitalism versus those of socialism,
"efficiencies" of capitalism versus socialism are pedestrian and
anti-historical at least and more often part of the usual Cold War
ideological package of deceptions and contrivances designed to produce the
contrived syllogisms of the Cold War ideologues and Summers-like
whores/toadies who translate the ideologies into concrete policies and
programs and interventions of agencies like the World Bank and IMF designed
to create the self-engineered/fulfilling prophesies of social systems
engineering.

When was US soil and the People subject to the devastations that the USSR
and China and countries like Vietnam suffered? When was some small island
off the coast of the US designated as the sole representative of the US
people in the UN? When was the US subject to repeated invasions of foreign
troops designed to strangle capitalism at its early stages and designed to
create conditions allowing for the applications of socialist policies? When
was the US subject to embargos and selective denials of critical transfers
of technology/funds by the likes of the World Bank and IMF?

And then the practicioners of social systems engineering, from agencies like
the World Bank etc go on through the incestuous revolving doors of corporate
boards, academia, government, media etc to continue to preach this shit--the
contrived syllogisms, pedestrian--and worse--comparisons, a/anti-historicity
etc.

But as they say in Kerala, "If the crow bathes, can it become a swan?". No
matter what the failures--under outside-managed/influenced conditions
designed to create/exacerbate failures of indigenous socialist policies and
programs--of socialism in China, USSR and elsewhere, these failures can
never "prove" the "superiority" of capitalism or imperialism nor can they
fundamentally ameliorate the mounting contradictions and
deleterious/barbaric trends/crises of globalized capitalism and imperialism.
