That one loses, as a bare fact, gives no indication whatever
whether one is doing something right or wrong.  The enemy
might just be stronger. I'm not arguing this in any particular
situation right now but merely insisting that this possibility
must *always* be taken into account when analyzing the
principles from which one is acting. "Back to the Drawing
Boards" is the road to destruction if one's princples have
in fact been correct but in the particular context the enemy
was stronger.
