I would expect that if, as you say, Ken Livingstone has vast popular
support then more than 30% of the electorate would have turned out to
vote. By all accounts the majority of the London working class considered
last week's election irrelevant.

If Mark Jones means that the bitter class struggle of the GOSR has its
modern counterpart in Ken Livingstone's election campaign perhaps he could
give some more details. Was it when Frank Dobson attacked Red heads? Or
when Ken Livingstone declared his full support for the Metropolitan
Police?
