Hardly. The EU doesn't care one fig about those 100,000 American soldiers;
they're just involuntary tourists with hard currency in their wallets. If
the US really ran Europe, the place would look like Latin America, all
the way down to US-funded special ops exterminating opium fields in the
Swiss Alps.

Nowadays, the power of multinational credit is mightier than the
monopoly-national sword.
