*WAHID DENIES CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS: 02-02-2001

Indonesian president Abdurrahman Wahid
has called a news conference to deny
allegations by parliament that he lied
about his involvement in two
corruption scandals. He insists that
a parliamentary investigation into his

has also called for greater
cooperation between his government and
the legislature. Wahid made his move
less than 24 hours after the
parliament voted to censure him.
