Yes, you are correct. It is interesting to contemplate how much of the
integration has been led by ex-members of the Communist Parties. Here in
Oz the old CPA has furnished the cadre force for the lurch to the right of
the Trade Union movement, the Labor Party and also within the Academy they
have played a vital role in destroying Critique and orienting Cultural
Studies towards collaboration with the Status Quo.
