an AUD workshop on Thursday, 3/29, 6-9pm
Activists and organizers need to know the full range of tools and resources.
This interactive workshop teaches your legal rights on the job and in the
union, and how to put them into practice in the real world. With Carl Biers
(AUD), and Louie Nikolaidis (Attorney).
Louie Nikolaidis is one of the leading union democracy attorneys in the
nation, with extensive experience working with union activists and reform
Carl Biers, AUD's Executive Director, is an experienced union organizer and
activist, and an authority on union democracy.
This workshop is session 2 of AUD's Spring 2001 Class Series:
"Organizing for Democracy and Power, on the Job and in the Union"
A series of workshops on the ideas and practice of union democracy, held at
AUD, 500 State St., Brooklyn, New York. Each three-hour session is hands-on,
with valuable handouts and materials, and dialogue with leading union
democracy activists in New York metro area unions. There is a registration
fee, and space is limited.
Every other Thursday, 6pm to 9pm, starting March 15
