The Prestige of the Working Class

Most of the demonstrators _are_ working class. The bourgeois
classification of "middle class" is screwing up perceptions. There are
workers. There are capitalists. There are "honorary capitalists" (such
as the permanent faculty at Harvard, top staff of the big foundations,
etc. There are declassed: police, prison guards, etc. And there is a
_very_ small and demographically insignificant (in the "first world") of
petty producers, small capitalists, independent professionals, etc.

There are only two classes that count, workers and capitalists. The
working class makes up 80-90% of the population in nations without a
large peasantry.
