Mother's day

it has often been said that things take on a meaning of their own. Mother's
Day is a good example of this. it was first proposed as a holiday in 1905
and became a national holiday in the U. S. in 1914. the idea was to honor
motherhood rather than gender equality. the movement for this holiday was
part of the anti-suffrage movement.
