It is necessary to avoid being defeatist.  A revolution is not a dinner party.  For many decades since its founding in 1921, the CPC would not seriously considered any a contender for state power by any serious analyst, including Stalin and Trotsky.

Do not abandon that Party merely because it is imperfect.  Institutions are necessary for collective action.

The Church recognizes the power of relics in keeping alive truth faith.  Those who persist in the face of apparent hopelessness are the true revolutionaries, the rest are mere opportunists (Not to say that WM is one).
