>From Jim Drysdale,

sympathetic outsider on events organised by the local
left. Much of what Jess and Ernest reported is
uncontroversial. I will try to briefly respond to some
of the more dubious points made.
JD: As a member (JD) of Worker's Unity within the SSP; it is a measure of
the leaderships current adherence to left nationalist reformism that some
were led to establish the concept of WU in a socialist party. That is, it
is a measure of the theoretical awareness of the current leadership. I
offer this only to reveal that the UK left, including the SSP leadership,
have far to travel before the reformist past is laid to rest. i.e. in this
evolving moment of decline, within rapid and radical change the past will
not be repeated and the muck of ages will, progressively, be cleared.
