Longer hours required to make Europe more competitive

Which survey?  I don't recall being asked.  In fact, in most companies,
asking for more than the two week vacation allowed is evidence of laziness
and a lack of dedication.  Sadly, the 40 hour work week which was won in
America has been the standard now for, I think 100 years.  Some progress!
