I'm with Stuart on this one. Cars are not sustainable. Although I am not
a utopian, I suspect that under communism everybody will use public
transportation for getting to work, shopping and other mundane tasks.
And then--carefully rationed--we will enjoy driving for pleasure on days
off. Who knows. Maybe we'll have beautiful replicas of vintage cars for
such purposes. Reserve a 1956 Ford Fairlane Convertible for me. White
with a black top, a continental kit, four on the floor, and glass packed
