Yeah. It was becoming obvious that this was necessary.

In a sense, I suppose, it suggests that the initial proposal was premature.
But then again, it galvanised discussion in a way that a less decisive
approach may not have.

In any case, the DSP have demonstrated that they are not prepared to put
sectarian barriers in the way of the socialist movement in Australia. This
is a good thing, which may well strengthen their hand in the future.
