Ever wonder when the Battle of 66 Street took place - or maybe the first
teachers strike? You can findit in the Alberta Labour History Institute's
2003 Calendar. This calendar is a visual celebration of the working people,
and their organisations, that built this province.

The calendar is 8 ½" X 11" folded and 11" X 17" when unfolded and contains
the dates of many important labour struggles in Alberta. As well as
historical photographs from the 1930s and 1940s, there are photographs of
recent struggles and actions such as the G8 demonstrations in Calgary,
Alberta Teacher's rally in front of the legislature and the United Food and
Commercial Workers struggle at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton.

The calendar also commemorates the 100th anniversary of the United
Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Local 1325 in Edmonton.

The calendar is $10/ea or you can contact ALHI for bulk orders.

It makes a great Christmas present for union members, labour and social
