wit ages, but the snideness is vintage.
Speaking of old jokes, there was a particular line
used after Jim Cannon arrived over to forcibly merge
the different British Trotskyist organisations
regardless of their disagreements in the run up to the
foundation of the Fourth International: "Cannon fused
three organisations into seven".
Left wing jokes don't age well and is rarely worth
preserving in the first place, but sometimes the point
they make has lasting value. If organisations fuse on
an unprincipled basis, they will split messily.
