I was minded to do the same kind of thing as Nick, and - from their very
own website - (<>) you get the following picture of
some of their 'senior staff': quote:

"*Dr John Chipman CMG: Director. Captain of the Harvard Fencing Team and
earned a Full Blue while fencing at Oxford. Following a year as Research
Associate at the IISS in 1983-84, during which he was also a NATO
Fellow, worked in Paris as a Research Associate at the Atlantic
Institute for International Affairs from 1985 to 1987. In 1999 made
Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG). Married to
Lady Theresa (nee Manners), daughter of the 10th Duke of Rutland.

*David King: Administrative Director. Served for 20 years in the UK's
Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers In 1987, he left the Regular
Army but retained military links in the Royal Green Jackets as a Country

*Terence Taylor: President and Executive Director. One of the
Commissioners to the UN Special Commission on Iraq (1993-95). Worked as
a Political Affairs Officer at UN Headquarters in the Department for
Disarmament [sic] Affairs (1994-95) and earlier for the UK Ministry of
Defence Served as a career officer in the British Army on operations in
many parts of the world, including counter-terrorist operations and UN

*Steven Simon: Assistant Director. Formerly member of the US National
Security Council, where he was Senior Director for Transnational
Threats. Previously a long-serving member of the Department of State.

*Oksana Antonenko: Senior Fellow. Graduate of Moscow State University
and J.F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. From
1990-1993, Worked at the Moscow office of Harvard Strengthening
Democratic Institutions Project, which promoted Russian-US dialogue and
provided assistance to Russian domestic reforms.

*Gary Samore: Senior Fellow for Non-Proliferation. Served as Special
Assistant to President Clinton and Senior Director for Non-Proliferation
and Export Controls at the National Security Council from 1996 to 2000.
Prior to his appointment to the White House, held various positions at
the Department of State. Also worked at Lawrence Livermore National
Laboratory, the Rand Corporation, and Harvard University

*Nicolas Maclean: Senior Fellow for International Affairs. Pursued a
career in financial services, for over 20 years with Samuel Montagu in
the Midland Bank Group and most recently as Group Adviser to Prudential
Corporation plc and Executive Director, Prudential Corporation Asia

*Dennis M. Gormley: Consulting Senior Fellow for Technology and Defence
Policy. Head of foreign intelligence at the US Army Harry Diamond
Laboratories (1972-1979). Frequently chaired or served on US government
advisory panels and testified before Congressional committees on defence

*Colonel Christopher Langton: Head, Defence Analysis. Joined the
Institute after 32 years service in the British Army. Has experience
from Northern Ireland and from service in Russia and the CIS, including
the countries of the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

*Adam Ward: Research Fellow for Asia. Spent three years in the business
sector as an analyst and editor for the international consultancy Oxford
