Here's a question. What is publicly known about US interrogation methods
used on capitves suspected of being part of Taliban, Al Queda, etc.? And do
these methods - as far as is publicly known - violate any international
aggrements signed by the USA?

The question was prompted by today's article in the NYT

"Terrorism Suspect Taken to U.S. Base for Interrogation" By DAVID JOHNSTON

which says, "...holding Mr. bin al-Shibh as a military prisoner gives
intelligence and law enforcement authorities greater latitude in
questioning him." without further explanation about what 'greater latitude
means exactly.
