If the law was on the books before she
went, then it's not a violation of the ex
post facto rule. That only happens if
you pass a rule and punish people for
actions taken before it was passed.

It's a bad rule, but this particular action
may not violate that particular provision.

Isn't this a violation of the ex post facto clause
in the constitution? If it is, then isn't Bush breaking
the oath he swore to uphold and defend the Constitution?
