'Naked Under Wolves' is probably the one. But "The Darker the Night the
Brighter the Stars" by Friedrich Schlotterbeck was first published by the
Left Book Club and has recently been reprinted by Jimmy Barnes , Editor of
Trade Union Review, (tuworks at btinternet.com) Well worth reading in my
opinion.

There is also a book by Spanish Communist, Jorge Semprun: 'The Long
Voyage', a semi-autobiographical novel partially set in Buchenwald (where
Apitz was).

The Czech Julius Fucik (Editor of Rude Pravo) 'Notes from the Gallows' is
another worth reading in this connection.
