yeah, i really don't get how some people are being so harsh on a man that
has obviously seen the errors of his past and is actually making good, in
actual practice, on his commitment to change all that.  from what i've
gathered about folks on lists like this and the a-list, is that many of
them come from privileged backgrounds, "dubious" ones even.  but actions
tend to speak louder than words, imho.  every social movement and
revolution in history required at least some contribution from the
intelligentsia and from "class traitors" amongst the privileged.  of course
the goal is not to be so utterly dependent on them, but i don't see a point
in ignoring the experience of history.
