first, all i can really say to all that has transpired lately is that i
hope i myself do not end up a middle-aged/grey-haired lefty with a case of
arrested development.

second, if people like messrs. schanoes and jannuzi have a problem with
contributions from "flakes" like myself, who have openly admitted to still
learning the ropes, it seems self-evident to me that there is nonetheless
no need to denigrate and insult in the neurotic fashion that mr. jannuzi
demonstrated. for what it's worth, i'd be happy to direct the bulk of my
contributions and inquiries to a "marxism for beginners" list, but
http://archives.econ.utah.edu/archives/marxism-intro/index.htm seems to be
defunct and besides was apparently never really all that active or
populated anyway.

in the same vein, my posting of lenin's "holy of holies" treatise (dms'
words) was perhaps a bit impulsive, but the dismissive manner and content
of their (dms and cj) arguments regarding creating a broader based movement
seemed deserving of such a reminder. (oh, and i am interested in how more
well-versed folks here will respond to comrade stolz' pointed and eloquent
statements/observations about the imperial left and imperial working-class.)

in solidarity,
xzy
