In defense of Fidel Castro's internationalist stand on the Iraq war

Fidel's presentation was astute and farsighted.
Hussein's Baath is a "national socialist" party, afterall.
Reds remember.
Castro has no reason to get too chummy.
But internationalist socialist concerns for people and the environment
demand he play a productive antiwar game with the media,
rather than that of a Platonic, principled and pure impotentate.

The reasons Castro gives for Iraq to disarm
are also designed to embarrass the U:K/SA
--as well as to divert a catastrophe.
