Forwarded from Nestor (Castro speech)

Looking at the speech on Cuban TV,
taken from the Argentine TV feed,
Fidel was standing just beneath a
giant red banner saying Partido
Comunista en Isquierda Unida.

Don't know if it was Fidel's intent
to endorse their project, but that
was what one saw when Agentine
TV panned back from time to time.
The CP seemed the only left force
present at the rally, or at least the
only ones with their own banner.

And thanks for your note, Nestor.
How cold is it down there now?
It was an incredible thrill to watch
all those people chanting loudly,

"Cuba, Cuba, Cuba,
el pueblo te saluda!"
