The workers are not refereed to as the grave digger of capital. Here you are

grievously mistaken and here is the crux of the problem. Here is what Marx 
states and it is something to thing about. 
"The advance of industry, whose involuntary promoter is the bourgeoisie, 
replaces the isolation of the laborers, due to competition, by their
combination, due to association. The development of Modern Industry, 
therefore, cuts from under its feet the very foundation on which the
produces and appropriates products. What the bourgeoisie, therefore,
above all, are its own gravediggers. Its fall and the victory of the
are equally inevitable."
The gravedigger is the advance of history and the agent is the proletariat. 

CB: Can't buy that. "the advance of history" or "history" has to be people.
The actions of  the "agent" of history is history.  "Gravediggers" have to
be people.
