well, to some, maybe, it's useful or appealing to think so -- but that's what 
makes it a metaphor: 
what is outside the circle?
and why not extend ther line of argument in your geometric metaphor through 
another spatial dimension and make it a spiral?
Euclidean planar geometry is not the only way to look at the world (earth is 
not a perfect globe, let alone a circle), let alone infinity or history. 

The statement "everything has its cycle" is gibberish without definition of 
"everything" and "cycle".
