improve the signal-to-noise ratio on the list.
And I believe this is actually an extremely important *political*
contribution to reconstituting a revolutionary socialist movement in the
United States on his part. Experience has shown that leftist politicla
lists on the Internet have a great tendency towards entropy. And on
their way to becoming pure, random noise, devoid of all information,
they go through the stage of posts like those Tony Abdo was
contributing, ultra-harshly-worded outbursts and flames.
You may disagree with one or more of Louis's calls on when it is time to
"move on," and even when it is impossible to continue with a particular
individual's "contributions." It is a matter of judgment and as yet
experience is limited.
But with whatever mistakes, such moderation is absolutely necessary to
maintain a forum where issues can be discussed seriously, and especially
where people from different currents and groups on the Marxist left can
come together and begin discussions on how to move towards a more united
revolutionary socialist movement.
