Yes, this was obviously a _big_ one.  Sumatra, as from the local 
press (quite unreliable on sci matters here) has moved _a whole 
foot_, 30 cm!!!!!!!!!!!

The fastest moving tectonic plates don't move more than one or two 
centimeters a year.

Your Puerto Rican cde. is very accurate.  "Education", here, however, 
is not simply raw "education".  It is, first and foremost, a State 
power decided to protect its own population because  this population 
is the actual base of its existence.  That is, a truly independent 
and self-reliant nation.  This is a precondition for succesful 
planning.
