Valentine should only wish that he had his finger on the pulse of the
American working class the way Moore does. Moore's done more to radicalize
people in this country than any organization whose members or leaders know
anything about Marx's critiques of German idealism. It is very clear that
he's reached an audience that nobody on the left has even come close to -
like some highly disguised, but disciplined and focused Jerry Rubin, with a
camera and a keen sense for the political jugular (Bush like a deer in the
headlights for 6 minutes, the incredible demonstrations at his innauguration
that noone I know had seen before, and lots more, especially one mother's
(military family at that) trail from Flint, MI to the barricaded White House
to ask why her child had died -- what could be a clearer screaming
indictment than that woman, as close as she can get to the center that
directed her child to death, hey Jerry Springer is the daily bread of the
American working class) . . criticizing Moore from the Left is at best a
boorish exercise in vanity and self-delusion.
