Then why was Marx so enthusiastic about the Paris Commune? The economic 
changes were minimal, but he saw this as the first manifestation of an 
anti-capitalist revolution. Marxism engages with transition, with 
change, with contradiction. In your schema, there is capitalism and 
non-capitalism. A binary, on-off switch so to speak. This is not very 
dialectical, is it?
