[Marxism] Anthony's dictum on US working class

Even though Mark L. has scored a point (but it is not only wages that
make you right wing, and the "progressivism" of European workers is
simply a thin coverage for some of the worst tendencies --think of
the Italian Liga Nord, or the votes by Le Pen in formerly Comm Party
neighborhoods, etc.), I think that Anthony has given the general
opinion that anyone in her or his senses can give when viewing the US
from outside.

What should a socialist do under such circumstances?

Well, not to repeat Moses in Sinai but not to reject him. The task
is twofold: on the one hand, things must be done to enlarge the
flock traversing the Desert, on the other hand, some idol _has_ to be
destroyed from time to time. What should be avoided by all means is
the risk of ossification in any of the possibilities: the first one
leads to dilution, the second to sectarianism.

Not easy. But keep in mind, folks: you are trying to put an end to
class societies in the most outstanding and succesful class formation
ever. I bow at your efforts, and this list is certainly one of the
best.
