I used to worry, too, a great deal about the cultish insularity of many
of these groups, even those we once saw as broadly more appealing than
others...like the Socialist Party, as opposed to the Communist Party,
and the Communist Party as opposed to the Socialist Workers Party.
In the end, though, all these groups are rather prisoners of their own
aspirations. Events will pass them by and the best of all of them will
respond. Hopefully, enough will do so positively. Some of them may
also move their organizations along. I'd say we do what we need to do
and not worry about the groups.
