Dear Mr. Moderator,

As someone generally more sympathetic, allow me...

Carl, what is the point of this?  It's nothing other than the reflected
identity of the uncritical, ideological posturing provided by those who
think every word Fidel utters is a treasure

Come on, the least you can do is be timely about it, and humorous-- 
showing up 5 months late with a criticism about something as paltry as
signing a condolence book at a cathedral-- And with no jokes about how
Fidel wouldn't allow Elian or any other Cuban boy within fifty yards of
the pope, dead or alive, is just a drag.

Tell you what, wait for this pope to die (shouldn't be too long a wait)
and then hit it again, and dammit, be funny when you do it.
