Friends- Delphi workers to protest at Detroit Auto Show Jan 8. and Detroit
ML King Day demonstration on Jan. 16. - David S.

   1. An important demonstration is being called by an organization of rank
and file Delphi workers and their supporters at the Detroit Auto Show.  They
are fighting Delphi's use of the bankruptcy courts to eliminate their
contract and pensions, and impose a 63% wage cut.  Here is the text of their

March in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. Soldiers of
Solidarity Sidewalk Protest at the Detroit Auto Show.  This Protest is for
anyone concerned with the future of America.
         Sunday January 8, 2006
         12 Noon till 4 pm.
Support working families and come picket with rank-n-file members of the
United Auto Workers on the sidewalks surrounding the 2006 auto show.  In
solidarity we will picket the Cobo Conference and Exhibition Center, l
Washington Blvd., Detroit, MI, in protest of the attack on working people by
GM-Delphi.  Bring your own signs and show support for working families whose
very livelihooods are under attack by GM-Delphi.
         Support Delphi Workers
         Stop the Wage Cuts
         Preserve Benefits
         Preserve Pensions
         Universal Health Care
         No Concessions

   2. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day demonstration against War, Racism and
Poverty.  Monday - Jan 16 - Noon - Central United Methodist Church 
(Woodward Ave. at Adams St. in Detroit).    Help spread the word.  Get 
the leaflet from www.mecawi.org.  Or pick up leaflets at Central United
Methodist Church betweem 9 AM and 7 PM.  The next planning meeting for the
demonstration is Sat. Jan 7 at 12 noon at Central United Meth.
